Russian Blue Allergy Test Kit
Families who are concerned about cat allergies can request an at home sample exposure kit before deciding whether to reserve one of our Russian Blue kittens. Each kit is prepared using samples collected from Russian Blue cats in the California Fluff Cattery breeding program. Preparation usually takes 1 to 2 business days, and completed kits are mailed through USPS.
What Is Included in the Kit
The kit provides several types of samples so you can observe how you respond to the hair, dander, and saliva associated with our cats in your own home.
Dander Sample Cloth
A new, fragrance free baby washcloth gently rubbed over the cat's coat to collect loose hair and dander, then sealed separately.
Saliva Sample Swabs
Two cotton swabs used to collect a small saliva sample, enclosed in a separate sealed bag.
Written Exposure Guide
Clear instructions explaining how to handle the samples gradually and what to do if symptoms develop.
Important Allergy Information
This is a sample exposure kit, not a medical allergy test, diagnosis, or treatment. No cat breed is completely allergy free, including the Russian Blue. Reactions can differ from one cat to another and may change with the amount of exposure, the environment, and time. Anyone with asthma, a history of serious reactions, or other medical concerns should speak with a qualified allergist before handling the samples or bringing a kitten home. Stop immediately and seek appropriate medical help if a concerning reaction occurs.

Our kits are intended for families considering a Russian Blue kitten directly from California Fluff Cattery. Because the samples come from cats in our own breeding program, the kit cannot evaluate or confirm how someone may react to a cat from another breeder, nor can it verify the breed or allergy claims made by another seller.
A mild or absent response to the samples does not guarantee that a person will have no reaction after living with a kitten. The kit is simply an additional step that may help a family make a more informed decision alongside advice from an allergy professional.
